Drawing - Colored Pencil Converted
Description
I converted the original color drawing to a black and white for advertising my drawing classes. It looked so good the I wanted to offer it for sale as a different version of the same drawing. You can see the original colored pencil drawing in my Colored Pencil Drawing Collections.
"Lets go for a ride" was the catchphrase around our home when I was younger. The simpler times, gas was cheap, the road calling to you for adventure. My mom and dad took my sister and I to destinations in the surrounding countryside. We would go to a orchard and gather fresh vegetables and fruit, maybe sometimes find an old abandoned home to explore or a local park. Watching the scenery roll by from the backseat of the car, I started honing my observation skills early.
This art is timeless and great for the automotive fan. This black and white work almost looks like an automotive painting with great photo realistic tones. These tones are achieved with the use of solvents and waxed based pencils. The end result is a work of art for any room of the house. Contemporary, modern, rural or traditional homes would be a fine fit for a print of this American Classic Icon. It is only available in a small size, but that would make a fine piece of framed art for either a wall, shelf or mantle. With wide matting, this art would look great in a den or library. Perfect for small urban spaces and offices. This art would be wonderful in a automotive dealership or showroom.
Thanks

This is another one of those works of art that triggers a flood of memories for me, Bill. I owned a 55 Chevy years ago, although mine was heavily modified or as we said in my day "souped up to fly like a bat out-of-hell". Man, that car would move. Now to your image. Outstanding as always. WE never tire of admiring your beautiful works David. And this one is GORGEOUS !!! (L/F) Bill and Deb Hayes
