Description
15" x 22" Prismacolor, Verithin, Inktense, White Gel and an acrylic wash sky with Verithin Pencil overlay.
This is loosely modeled after the Grogan postcard that my dad sent my mother at the beginning of WWII. This is The Mercury leaving the Chicago Terminal. New York Central pieced this train together with dated heavyweight equipment. Henry Dreyfuss designed the interiors of seven passenger cars and completed the look when he finished with the engine, transforming the train into a work of Art.
