Description
My dad found this photo sometime in the late 1950's. It is the only photo of the No 2 train. The train is arriving from Midway Kentucky and it is pulling into Versailles, Ky This photo was taken in 1912.
This 4-4-0 Pittsburgh steam train ran from Versailles to Midway and Georgetown then back again. This line was started in 1888 and ran until 1936 when it was abandoned and the track torn up. This is the paragraph on this train from the Manual of the Railroads of the United States, Issue 22 and dated February 11, 1889.

The tracks long gone, only the people that live along this old route will see the few overpasses and the track bed.
Thanks for viewing.

The image was torn across the top and water stained on both the top and right side. All the scenery had faded out from the last passenger car to the right edge of the photo and the rest of the treeline above the train had faded also. I added the missing pieces of the photo in digitally and sharped the image.
Thanks for viewing
