Artist's Description

Abstract and surreal gases of green, blue and bright red float silently in space, and while they appear to be unified, each color hold within it own boundaries. The images seem like dancing surreal spirits or ghosts giving a feel of movement to this image. This is a wonderful stand alone image or can be combined in a number of ways with the seven other images in this collection.

I took the original art "Moons of Madness" and with my computer, manipulated the colors to this ghostly image. The fact that I used only one painting to create these seven images connects each piece in more than just the physical level. On a metaphysical level, these abstract images can represent a part of each of us. Just something to think about.

This is a hand painted image that just flowed onto the paper. It is both surreal and abstract with touches of science fiction and fantasy art. This art would be look great in both the home and office setting.

I would work 8-10 hours daily on engraving a contour map with a hand held, .002 line engraver for up to 200 hours, depending on the terrain being mapped. Drawing tools have become an extension of my hand. My daily work, for over 20 years, touched on all parts of mapping, from surveyors’ notes to map folding. This daily environment was a constant honing of eye/hand skills. I have 7 basic forms that guide me, square, round, elliptical, triangle, hexagon, oval and rectangle. Master the line...
