Historic Map of Lexington Kentucky metal print by David Neace CPX. Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of a metal print. Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Artist's Description
This is the only copy that I know exists of this map. My dad, James E Neace did the illustrations around the border of the map for the Chamber of Commerce in the 1950's. It shows scenes around the border of the historic horse farms and points of interest in the area during the 1950's.
Ed Wilder and A.L. where the draftsmen for the base map. I remember going to the Chamber of Commerce with my dad when he turned the completed job in to them. The Chamber of Commerce was then located in a church that was across the corner from the intersection of High Street and the Harrison Street Viaduct, which was next to the Union Terminal in downtown Lexington.
