Artist's Description
This is a colored pencil drawing of a 1946 Hudson modeled from a photo that I took during a auto show in Georgia. The reflections caught my eye, with the reflections dancing across the hood and bumpers.
This classic icon to American manufacturing is created in warm colors and not the usual style. With the addled surrealistic touches, this art reflects some of style of art created during the 1940's.
Warm colors, great detail in the drawing, this would look great in urban homes as well as suburban dwellings. Very nice work for an automobile enthusiast den or library. The surreal style, almost abstract, works well with contemporary homes and modern homes. This would add interest to automobile dealerships, and classic automobile showrooms. Great for design and graphic offices as well as dentist and doctor offices.
Thanks
Dave

I would work 8-10 hours daily on engraving a contour map with a hand held, .002 line engraver for up to 200 hours, depending on the terrain being mapped. This daily environment was a constant honing of eye/hand skills. I have 7 basic forms that guide me, square, round, elliptical, triangle, hexagon, oval and rectangle. Master the line...
