Product Details

Our wooden holiday ornaments are 1/2" thick, approximately 4" tall, and include a string for easy hanging and a magnet on the back for use on refrigerators.   Ornaments are available in six different shapes, including: stars, hearts, bells, trees, ovals, and stockings.

This was the last work of art my father made before he passed. At the time he did this his eyesight was failing. He loved everything about trains and I have wonderful memories of he and I walking the tracks back in the 1950's.

I would work 8-10 hours daily on engraving a contour map with a hand held, .002 line engraver for up to 200 hours, depending on the terrain being mapped. Drawing tools have become an extension of my hand. My daily work, for over 20 years, touched on all parts of mapping, from surveyors’ notes to map folding. This daily environment was a constant honing of eye/hand skills. I have 7 basic forms that guide me, square, round, elliptical, triangle, hexagon, oval and rectangle. Master the line...
