Description
Ford's son Edsel commissioned the design for the Lincoln greyhound hood ornament in 1927 wanting to associate the Greyhound's speed with the company's vehicles. The greyhound hood ornament was created using the lost wax method similar to that used on the Rolls-Royce Spirit of Ecstasy.
This 1934 Lincoln was one of only 347 produced that year. Just coming out of the Depression Era, people did not have that kind of money to spend.
