Artist's Description
I took the basic image of the car, my sister, mom and myself from a photo my dad took of us on one of our Sunday drives. If you look closely, you can see the image of my father reflected in the door of the car. I am so pleased to get this image re photographed.
"Sunday Drive" is one of my favorite drawings. It has the whole Neace family in one drawing. The actual photo was taken in 1951 and I was 4 years old in the photo. The original photo was taken on the outskirts of Lexington, Ky on what is now Alexandria Drive. We always took a family ride on Sunday's, even if it was just a jaunt around the big city of Lexington. My sister and I imagined we where on magical trips as we sat in the back of the car.
Thanks
D. A. Neace

``````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````` As an artist, one of my thoughts on creating is by taking objects, let us say a car, a building or a landscape and presenting the possibilities visually of what could be. The ability to visualize your thoughts is a powerful tool for creativity and free to everyone. Emotion, beauty, intelligence and grace are the balance point for my art, whether it is a fantasy drawing, realistic or somewhere in between. I am a multicolored point of light on a journey through time. A full container of expectations leaves no room for possibilities....
