About David Neace CPX

David Neace CPX I learned the basics of drawing from my father and I taught myself to work in many mediums before finding my “niche” which are colored pencils. I try to always use my own photos or use historic photos of the surrounding Kentucky towns and farms. I consider history an important part of our future as it presents another view of the past. I like to research my subjects and present them with some background as to where and when. I draw landscapes, cityscapes, cars, trucks, vans, flowers and even the occasional person. I have a wide variety of subjects for your viewing pleasure. I am a juried member of the Kentucky Crafted program and Colored Pencil Society of America. My work has appeared on magazine covers and in instructional books. The area I live in is rich in historical buildings and places giving me a wide variety of subjects from trains to dilapidated buildings. My art has gone international and I have original work now hanging in Australia. I am in my 766h year on this good earth and I am grateful for everything that has come my way, the good and the bad. It is through strife and trouble that we grow as humans, the good things in life make it worthwhile. I have let go of expatiations and now embrace possibilities that come into my life.
