Description
This is a representation of rural America sometime in the 1930's. Life was hard, but there was always beauty just underneath the surface. The original photo is one that my father took of row houses that where located in Kentucky. The original is black and white. Using this photo as my model, I created this work. The houses, even dilapidated, still have charm and an air of dignity about them.
This unique look into rural America during the 1920's and 30's add charm and life to any room. The warm colors, the bright and soft greens, flowers blooming on the fence, wildflowers growing around the houses, set this art in a peaceful scene. This would work well in urban homes, rural homes, apartments, bachelor pads, bachelorette pads and all rooms of your home. My style of drawing has become easily recognizable, and this particular work has won several juried shows. The fact that it is drawn in colored pencil, rather than oils, acrylics or watercolor, adds a uniqueness to the work.
This is a wonderful greeting card. Using the black background offered by FAA, you can add your own personal message inside.
Thanks
D. A. Neace

Beautiful work of art David. Here in the South, there are still many, very many homes that still look like this. Amazing to see how some things stay the same over the years.

My grandparents liked in a house like this, but we never knew how poor they were and we loved going there! Revisit - tweet
